About Gabrielle

Gabrielle Wallington is an Australian ceramic artist whose journey with clay began in childhood, when she first discovered a love for pottery through lessons with a local family friend. She later went on to study ceramic art at the ANU School of Art, expanding her practice further through time spent at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver. Her career includes intensive apprenticeships in the United States, where she immersed herself in wood-fired ceramics, as well as a period working in Chile that broadened her approach to form and surface. Returning to Australia, she served as business and studio manager at Hermannsburg Potters, working closely with a renowned Indigenous ceramics collective and deepening her understanding of storytelling through clay. After taking time to raise her family, Gabrielle established her own studio in Eugowra, NSW, where she now creates handmade stoneware inspired by simplicity, natural textures, and everyday function. Her work brings together international experience, fine craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the rural landscapes she calls home.
